We have some fun workshops for the youngest participants at the conference! We are deliberately not revealing all the details, we want to surprise you and show you how cool learning can be. We hope you’ll want to do more fun activities like these in the future!

She conducts research into the effectiveness of the proposed forms of work with children in the context of developing their research skills, research into the impact of nonformal education on the knowledge gains of participating children and young people, research into users’ perceptions of the quality and effectiveness of teaching aids in the context of developing their key skills.

An expert in home education  and science communication. She has experience working with teachers by preparing and conducting various workshops and trainings (cooperation with teacher training centres). Author of various teaching aids and tools, including current issues in sustainable development. 

Member of the advisory board of the European project BIObec. Cooperated with Children’s University (non-government organisation in Poland) e.g. in working for STEAM4you and InEdu European projects. In 2022, she won the Polka XXI Century Award in the education category. President of the All About Science Foundation. Originator and leader of classes dedicated to the development of various soft skills “from preschool to senior citizens”.

Workshop title: Biology teacher “on the phone”, i.e. about using the application smartphones in teaching biological topics. During the workshops, participants will learn how to use various applications websites in the implementation of specific biological issues. They will be presented the following web applications: CAP CUT using artificial intelligence, Corrint app and  Quiver app. Some classes will take place in green areas Krakow University of Technology, during which we will use applications for plant recognition. We will also consider psychological issues together conditions for the use of Internet technologies in education.

Dr. Beata Jancarz-Łanczkowska Dr. Beata Jancarz-Łanczkowska is a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, an academic teacher, long-time biology educator, methodological advisor for biology teaching, expert in the substantive correctness of e-materials on the Integrated Educational Platform for Biology, author of curriculum, textbooks, teaching guides for biology, and materials preparing for the biology matriculation exam.

Krzysztof Ciurej is a biology and nature teacher, a substantive expert in the field of mathematical and natural sciences within the Lekcja ENTER project, an educator involved in numerous projects implemented by the Center for Education Development, author of publications on key competencies, use of technology in the learning process, learning methods, and co-author of many training scenarios designed for teachers.

PhD Lukasz Walusiak Born in Zywiec, Poland, he completed his doctoral studies in computer science at the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Silesia. During his doctoral studies and afterwards, he worked at the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Pedagogical University in Krakow. He is currently employed at the Department of Computer Science of the Silesian Academy in Katowice, where he actively engages in scientific activities. In his research work, he mainly focuses on the analysis of medical and technical images, contributing to the development of these fields both from a theoretical and an application perspective.
